Job Status
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Burnaby, BC
Compensation: Acera’s total compensation offerings are based on pay for performance that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $60,000 - $70,000 CAD annually; the pay offering is based on location and will vary depending on related insurance experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.
Job Summary
Acera is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled individual to support our DUA Coordinator, Program Underwriting, as well as our Business and Data Analytics team. The DUA Assistant provides monthly bordereau data processing, maintenance, and administrative support on our delegated underwriting authority business. The successful candidate should possess superior problem-solving skills, demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, and high-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Essential Job Functions:
- Tracking and processing bordereau reports ensuring all data is handled in a consistent, timely and accurate manner
- Bordereau quality control by way of validating premiums and risk level data
- Resolve bordereau report inquires
- Uploading bordereau reports to companies
- Provide administrative support to the Delegated Coordinator
- Transform data from SQL data base
- Assist with other special projects as needed
Qualifications and Soft Skills
- 2 or more years of previous insurance experience
- Working knowledge of EPIC
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of SQL
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in reporting and documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
