GROUP RETIREMENT CLIENT SERVICE SPECIALIST

 

LOCATION AND STATUS 

  • Status: Full-time, permanent 

  • Location: Burnaby, BC

  • Pay Range:  Acera’s total compensation offerings are based on pay for performance that recognizes exceptional individual, and company performance.  The typical hiring range for this position is from $65,000 - $80,000 CAD annually; the pay offering is based on location and will vary depending on related experience, proven knowledge, skills, and internal equity. 

 

With the leadership and guidance of the Director, Group Retirement Services, the Group Retirement Client Service Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

GRS Member/Employee Education

  • Facilitate both on-site and virtual employee education sessions for GRS clients
  • Provide one-on-one meetings for employees/plan members
  • Work with the Benefits Consultant and/or plan provider to design a member education strategy for their respective GRS clients
  • Coordinate the arrangement of education sessions and education strategy (if applicable) with the client contact person
  • Prepare and utilize professional and polished slides using the Acera PowerPoint slide template
  • Build a library of slides with content for a variety of situations and carrier information

 

GRS Member Services

  • Assist GRS members with inquiries regarding investment selection and retirement planning
  • Assist terminated and retiring members with their disclosure options

 

Client Service

  • Complete annual review reports and meet with the client and Benefits Consultant to discuss
  • Ensure CAPSA governance requirements are met for pension plan sponsors
  • Assist plan administrator with AIR or arrange for completion by carrier
  • Coordinate plan changes with plan provider
  • Assist Benefits Consultant and Director, Group Retirement Services, with market searches

 

Requirements

  • Must hold a current life license (LLQP) in good standing
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle
  • Must have the ability to travel to client locations with some overnight travel required
