ASSOCIATE, FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING | ACERA BENEFITS
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Associate, Financial Accounting to join our finance team. This role involves data entry, reconciliations, revenue recording, and generating commission statements. Experience with Salesforce and Epic is a plus. The ideal candidate should have advanced Excel skills, work well under tight deadlines, and handle monthly and ad-hoc reporting. Pay Range: Acera’s total compensation offerings are based on pay for performance that recognizes exceptional individual, and company performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $50,000 - $60,000 CAD annually; the pay offering is based on location and will vary depending on related experience, proven knowledge, skills, and internal equity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform data entry, monthly/quarterly reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy.
- Generate and process commission statements in Salesforce based on performance metrics.
- Liaise with insurance carriers for commission-related data.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc financial reports using Excel for data analysis.
- Assist with month-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate records for auditing purposes.
- Ensure deadlines for reporting and ad-hoc requests are met.
- Use CRM and accounting software to track and report financial data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience with CRMs and accounting software.
- Strong background in reconciliations, revenue recording, and commission statement generation.
- Proficient in data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualizations).
- Experience with Salesforce and Epic is a plus.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and independence.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Accounting education preferred.
