Job Details

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Kelowna, BC

Compensation: Acera’s total compensation offerings are based on pay for performance that recognizes exceptional individual and company performance.  The typical hiring range for this position is from $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 CAD annually; the pay offering is based on location and will vary depending on related education, insurance and sales experience, proven knowledge, skills, and internal equity.


Job Purpose:

Acera is looking for an ambitious, engaging, and experienced Client Executive to join our Commercial Client Care team. The successful candidate is client focused, ambitious, innovative, professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions. This role is responsible for the sales of new and renewal commercial insurance policies.


Essential Job Functions  

  • Writing new independent business commercial policies with small to medium sized accounts from in house referrals, calls and walk ins
  • Special event liability, hole in ones
  • Maintaining account receivables
  • Receiving and processing all incoming paperwork, providing quotes to clients, reviewing existing coverage and updating customer file in EPIC
  • Remarketing of existing client policies and marketing of new client policies
  • Reviewing applications, renewal requests, and endorsement for compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines, as authorized by our companies or “in house” underwriting.
  • Provide primary response for incoming and outgoing requests from clients and insurance companies


Competencies & Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of Commercial or Personal Lines Insurance experience
  • Level 2 BC General Insurance licence
  • 100% client focused and service oriented
  • Knowledge of EPIC and Policy Works an asset, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • CAIB and/or CIP designation preferred
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills
  • Works well within a team and independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable with proven problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, self-management and a desire to learn and grow  
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lines products and wordings
