SERVICE ASSOCIATE, COMMERCIAL INSURANCE

 

Your attention to detail and customer service focus are the keys to success in the role of Associate, Commercial Insurance. This non-client facing role is responsible for providing support to the commercial insurance teams by processing policy documents, invoicing premiums, preparing cover letters, producing pink cards and certificates of insurance, schedules, claims reporting and maintaining file documentation.

 

 

LOCATION AND STATUS

  • Newmarket, ON
  • Full-time, permanent

 

KEY RESPONSBILITIES (and not limited to):

 

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the commercial insurance team
  • Process policy documents including new business, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals
  • Prepare cover letters, certificates of insurance, pink cards, and policy schedules
  • Invoice premiums and assist with payment processing and reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and documentation; and set up new client profiles and update client records in Epic (broker management system)
  • Monitor daily payment reports from Acera accounting for accuracy
  • Handle NSF (non-sufficient funds) payment re-collections for internally financed policies
  • Distribute documents including Monthly Pay Agreements and cancellation requests
  • Prepare and submit loss notices and claims reports to insurers
  • Coordinate Google review requests and referral thank-you correspondence
  • Complete other duties as assigned

 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of related Insurance experience preferred
  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, degree is an asset
  • RIBO license, or working towards, considered an asset
  • CIP or CAIB designation, or working towards is considered an asset

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000 CAD annually

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as a candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity.
