CLIENT ADVISOR, PERSONAL INSURANCE, NEW BUSINESS
As part of a new business sales team, you will focus on responding to inbound quote requests for Personal Insurance through a variety of sales channels, including digital, inbound calls, established affinity programs, internal referrals, and through a network of regional offices. The Client Advisor, Personal Insurance, New Business will help to develop relationships with potential clients by assessing their insurance needs, providing coverage recommendations from top insurers, and completing risk assessments. To ensure the focus remains on new business, once the risk is bound and issued, the new client will be assigned to a servicing broker for future handling.
LOCATION AND STATUS
- Brampton, Huntsville, or Ottawa, Ontario
- Full-time, permanent
KEY RESPONSBILITIES (and not limited to):
- Respond to inbound Personal Insurance quote requests from various sales channels, including digital platforms, inbound calls, affinity programs, internal referrals, and regional office networks.
- Complete new client applications in alignment with Acera workflows and standards.
- Assess client eligibility, evaluate risk quality, ensure accurate risk rating, and place policies with appropriate insurance providers.
- Identify key selling features in each quote to offer the most relevant products to clients.
- Follow up consistently on expiry dates (ex-dates), prospective clients, and unbound quotes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and market trends to provide expert guidance to clients.
- Participate actively in training programs and professional development activities required for the role
QUALIFICATIONS
- RIBO license required
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in the insurance industry
- Strong working knowledge of Personal Insurance
- CIP designation, or working towards is considered an asset
- Sales-focused and committed to excellence in customer service
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of EPIC or a broker management system is considered an asset
