The Branch Leader is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for guiding the Autoplan, personal lines, and commercial insurance teams. The role is both client-focused and team-oriented, requiring strong leadership to ensure service excellence, growth, retention, and operational alignment across the branch. This position champions Acera's Client Service Model of being reliable, responsive, and relationship-focused, and lives the company values: take ownership, people first, commit to excellence, and make work fun.

 

Job Details: 

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Prince George

Compensation and Benefits: Acera’s compensation offerings reflect a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes individual and team contributions. The typical hiring range for this position is from $60,000 - $90,000CAD annually; The base salary range for this position is determined based on market location and is influenced by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s years of experience, education, geographic location, and demonstrated ability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Coaching
    • Act as a player/coach, both servicing a personal or commercial lines book and leading the team
    • Inspire and mentor team members to meet and exceed client expectations through responsiveness and by building strong relationships
    • Lead performance management processes and drive professional development in a way that supports a people-first culture and ownership mindset
  • Client Experience
    • Deliver exceptional, reliable client service and set service benchmarks that reflect Acera’s commitment to responsiveness and relationship-building
    • Support and implement recruitment and workforce planning strategies that align with our values and vision
    • Tailor training approaches to fit learning styles, promote excellence, and support continuous improvement
    • Maintain ethical, calm, and professional conduct in challenging situations, modeling accountability and ownership
  • Communication and Team Culture
    • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment based on respect, appreciation, and fun
    • Participate in team leader meetings, contributing innovative ideas that promote excellence and collaboration
    • Celebrate achievements and communicate changes effectively across the team to maintain transparency and responsiveness
    • Proven ability to have caring, direct and productive conversations in times of change or diversity 

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of ICBC auto insurance experience
  • Strong Autoplan skills – must be proficient in ICBC transactions
  • Level Two General Insurance License
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and excellence
  • High attention to detail and professional communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and influence others positively in alignment with Acera’s values
