CLIENT ADVISOR, COMMERCIAL INSURANCE
Your knowledge and experience in commercial insurance combined with your attention to detail and customer service focus are the keys to success in the role of Client Advisor, Commercial Insurance. This role is responsible for providing support to the commercial insurance team by processing policy documents, invoicing premiums, preparing cover letters, producing pink cards and certificates of insurance, schedules, claims reporting and maintaining file documentation.

- Lower Sackville, NS
- Full-time, permanent
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creates & executes client service plans, service deliveries, ensuring commitments are tracked and reported in a unified and meaningful way to the client
- Monitors client satisfaction through maintaining relationships
- Contributes in regular meetings with team to ensure you are up to date on all pending client issues, changing needs, implementing service plans, and other issues
- Fields client communication via snail mail, email, phone and/or face to face and identifies clients’ insurance requirements
- Creates proposals for clients and prospective clients that demonstrate Acera’s unique approach to mitigating business risk
- Educates clients to ensure they understand their business risks and insurance coverage
- Acera Leader in the client and insurance industry through professional writing, speaking and networking engagements
- Supports processes and procedures and past practices; participates in team meetings
- Advocates for changes and additions to service plans that increase value for clients
Competencies & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related and progressive experience in the insurance industry with a strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products
- Experience in an insurance brokerage
- Level 2 NS Broker license required
- CIP or CAIB designation, or working towards is considered an asset
- A high degree of professionalism and integrity
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Committed to excellence in customer service and builds a strong relationship at all levels
- Skilled user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Familiar with insurance customer relationship software
- Demonstrated accountability and reliability in the quality and timeliness of work
- Able to prioritize in a busy environment to meet tight deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable with proven problem-solving skills
- Works well within a team and independently
- Critical thinker with attention to detail
