CLIENT ADVISOR, COMMERCIAL INSURANCE, NEW BUSINESS

 

Acera Insurance is looking for an ambitious, engaging, experienced Client Advisor, Commercial Insurance, New Business to join our team. As a Client Advisor, you will work with the New Business team to ensure all reactive new business clients’ needs are met and exceeded.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Respond to new business calls that come into the Commercial department; 
  • Market and place new business with insurers;
  • Build relationships with insurers;
  • Review lost business reports to look for opportunities;
  • Process first renewal and then trade-off to appropriate Client Executives; 
  • Process new business renewals and endorsements;
  • Work as a team to meet and exceed the established sales goal; 
  • Attend networking events and insurer meetings as required;
  • Work with other commercial team members, and management to deliver an exceptional customer experience; 
  • Follow all established rotation schedules;
  • Participate in the claims process with the claims team;
  • Assist in collecting accounts receivables;
  • Participate in up-sell and cross-sell initiatives to grow business;
  • Maintain a high level of customer service standards using our core values as the foundation of your service – Commit to Excellence, Take Ownership, Put People First, Make Work Fun;
  • Mentor with the Independent Business Unit Client Executives and learn commercial coverages and how to sell new small commercial policies;
  • All other duties as directed by management

 

LOCATIONS AND STATUS:
Victoria, BC

Permanent full-time, 35 hours

9am-5pm

$60K-$75K per year + qualified commission

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CAIB and or CIP designations or on an education plan;
  • Minimum Level 2 license;
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance experience required
  • Personal insurance experience is considered an asset;
