CLIENT ADVISOR, COMMERCIAL INSURANCE, REAL ESTATE

 

Are you a proactive and relationship-driven professional looking to grow your career in insurance? Acera Insurance is seeking an ambitious, engaging, and experienced Client Advisor to join our Real Estate Corporate Commercial team to help manage and expand our portfolio of rented dwellings.  You have a strong work ethic and can-do attitude with an interest and understanding of commercial risks and insurance wordings. To support you in this role, you will be backed by our well-established company brand that has a strong connection to the community.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

 

  • The Client Advisor will help manage a long-standing portfolio of rented dwellings, ensuring client satisfaction and retention;
  • Develop and maintain a solid relationship with the association and underwriters to nurture and help the Client Executive grow the book of business;
  • Aid in writing new business for new and existing clients while identifying all cross selling opportunities;
  • Provides the highest quality service to Acera clients, mentoring and coordinating processes;
  • Creating & executing client documents, service plans, ensuring commitments are tracked and reported in a unified and meaningful way to the client;
  • Educating clients to ensure they understand their risks and insurance coverage;
  • Assisting in the collection of accounts receivable;
  • Attending client events and conferences, as required;
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service standards using our core values as the foundation of your service – Commit to Excellence, Take Ownership, Put People First and Make Work Fun;
  • All other duties as assigned by management;

 

LOCATION AND STATUS

  • Victoria, BC
  • Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week, 9am-5pm)
  • Compensation: Acera’s total compensation offerings are based on pay for performance that recognizes exceptional individual and company performance.  The typical hiring range for this position is from 60,000 - $85,000  CAD annually; the pay offering is based on location and will vary depending on related education, client service experience, proven knowledge, skills, and internal equity.      

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Level 2 BC Broker License
  • Minimum 3 years of insurance experience, with at least 1 year in commercial insurance
  • Previous experience working in EPIC will be considered an asset
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative
  • Ability to work outside of regular office hours when required
  • CAIB and CIP designations – or proactively working towards
  • Supports a climate in which the team wants to do their very best
  • Adaptable to working effectively as a team or independently with the ability to adjust to tight and changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to maximize efficiencies by leveraging technology, tools, resources and information
  • Self-guided learner & solves problems with real solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
